No Peas Please!!!

Silly Geoff forgot Michael does not like peas, as you can see:) While Geoff was feeding him, Michael continued to rub his face and his eyes and cry:( Poor Baby!!!

We have been out of school for 3 weeks now and it has gone by super fast!! It is so fun to be home with my little man...I am really going to be sad come August 10th when we have to go back! Luckily Michael loves his teachers and friends at school and they love him too!

To sum up the past couple of weeks, Michael and I have been going to our favorite gym, Next Level Fitness in Plano (so wonderful)- I have been taking a Athletic Training Class that is kicking my bootie!!!! Brittney and Drew are in town for the month of June for Brad's rotation at Childrens- Michael has been able to hang out with his Best Bud a couple of times, but not as much as I wish we could- having a little one makes your life so busy!!! Our power went out last Wednesday- Saturday, completely awful!!! We, meaning Michael and I ended up staying at the Day's Inn on Friday night which turned into a long night- Michael is not the greatest travel companion:) Last Friday and Saturday night was my 10 year high school reunion- it was so much fun! It was so great to see people and hear what they have been up to! I reconnected with some great friends and talked about meeting up for a playgroup with our kids...very fun!!!
To top it off, Michael Man will be 7 months old on Friday and the boy is trying to crawl! He gets up on all fours and rocks back and forth! I can't believe my Baby Boy is getting so big!!!

We Will Miss You Gram Gram!

This past Sunday morning at 12:13am, Gram Gram Hatch passed away. She was such an amazing and strong woman. We are so happy Michael was able to spend the first 6 months of his life with her. She had an amazing energy every time we were around her. Even last week when we brought Michael to see her, she seemed to perk up and respond to her Great-Grandson. We sat Michael on the bed next to her and she reached over and held his foot or hand- all though he did spit up on her blanket and tried to pull her oxygen tubing off of her a couple of times, it was great to see her respond to his presence. We will miss her dearly and she will always be held in a special place in our heart!

Where does the time go?

How is it possible that my Baby Boy is already 6 months old? It was a half of a year ago that I was in Presby Dallas having my little Michael Bear! Now my Lil' Man is rolling across the room and trying desperately to crawl! Not long from now he will be running around the house and climbing the walls!!!

We had the 15th Annual Crawfish Boil this year on May 2nd and it was a little bit wet, to say the least. I think we had 3 rounds of monsoons throughout the party~ that did not stop us though- I think there were about 50 people who came by to partake in the festivities:) Always a great time to see friends and family! We had so many babies this year! Michael, Charlie, Elly, Abby, John...and next year they will all be running around plus some more!!! Our big annual party is turning into a family event:)

In April, Michael and I went to Atlanta for Steve and Lorraine's Wedding Shower. It was great to see everyone, unfortunately, Michael brought a stomach virus with him and decided to share it with the family. He started by getting sick on the plane, passing it to me, then I was sick all day Saturday (no fun at all!!!) then Owen, Pops, Nana, Presley and so on got it the following days- so, so sorry!!! Luckily the shower went great and everyone had a great time! Michael was able to play with his cousins Presley and Hannah Blanche, which he loved and they wore him out:)

Thomas Manley Haggerty

My brother Joe and his wife Susan welcomed a beautiful, healthy baby boy named Thomas Manley Haggerty on April 30th. He is so PRECIOUS and PERFECT! I only wish I could have gone to Alabama to meet him when he was born! Unfortunately, I am all out of days due to my own maternity leave:( Luckily we will be able to meet our nephew this June when we pass through Mobile on our way to Atlanta for Steve's wedding!!!
I mean seriously...look at those cheeks and that sweet little mouth!!!

Easter 2009

Well, we had a very eventful Easter this year! We started off the day going to my sister's house for Easter Mass and brunch. It has become a tradition in our family to have Father McCauley come to our house and say mass on Easter Sunday- this is so wonderful and we are blessed to have Father McCauley, he truly is a special member of our family!
(Michael with Father McCauley)
Then we went off to meet Geoff's family at Swan Court for lunch. It was so great to see everyone- Elizabeth and John are getting so big! Michael was perfect, of course, and he loved playing with his cousin Elizabeth!

Then we went to the O'Connor Easter Egg Hunt- this is always fun because we get to see everyone! The family is so huge, I usually only get to see them once a year on Easter. There were so many babies there this year! Next year is going to be even more crazy because they will all be walking! We will really have to watch out for the Koi Pond in the backyard next year:)

We eventually made our way home and put our No-Nap Baby to bed- he was not very happy about it, and made sure to tell me about it at 1:30 this morning:)

I hope everyone had a Happy Easter!

St. Patrick's Day 2009

(St. Patty's Day 2007)

I still can't believe 4 years ago today, I met my Geoffrey! My goodness has a lot happened in 4 years! Allison was born, Geoff came with my family to Gulf Shores, HB was born, Geoff proposed, John was born, we were married, Joe met Susan, Geoff and I went to Hawaii with his family, found out we were expecting the day we got back, Joe and Susan were married, went to Boston for 4th of July, Steve proposed to Lorraine, Michael was born, Joe and Susan are expecting come May, Steve and Lorraine are getting married in June, Presley is going to Kindergarten in the fall, okay, I am now getting ahead of myself... my gosh!!! Lot of exciting things!

We dressed Michael in a few St. Patty's day outfits, since it is our favorite day (the day we met, thanks to Kim:) Here are a couple...
(Ha! wanted to show the cute outfit Annie got him:)

I hope everyone has a great day in honor of Good Ole' St. Patrick!!!

RSV Time!

So, the day came for me to return to work- March 2nd. Michael had a cold, of course, so Geoff took the day off to take him in to the Doctor (I thought it would be bad for me to miss my first day back). The Doctor said he had a cold and there was nothing really she could do but for us to wait it out. So we went on with our days, Michael was in the nursery at my school. Thursday I went to check on him, as I always do during lunch, and Carmen (Michael's teacher) said he was doing great and smiling and talking all morning- he was down for a nap! Come 3:50pm, I was headed to pick up my Pumpkin and I get a frantic message from Carmen that she did not like Michael's breathing and that I needed to get down there- I ran down to find Carmen holding a listless Michael who what wheezing- it was AWFUL!!!! I immediately called the Dr. and took him in to see her. He tested + for RSV and we were given an inhaler for him to try (although the Dr. said it probably wouldn't make much of a difference). Anyway, we went home, Geoff went to his fraternity Founders Day Party and my parents came over for dinner- needless to say, Michael's breathing became more labored and he was now runnning a temp- called the on-call nurse and took Michael to Children's Legacy (which is the most amazing hospital we have been in!!!!) They were all soooo wonderful and it was sooooo clean!!!! What we thought was going to be a quick breathing treatment turned in to Michael being admitted for 3 nights, monitoring oxygen intake and placed on oxygen:( Long story, longer, we were discharged on Sunday morning and Michael is doing great! He has definitely given us a run for our money over the past 4 months...but he is well worth it:) We are just so happy he is home and on the way to getting better!!!!
